How We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies and other tracking technologies to record your internet settings and browsing preferences, which allows us to optimize the design of our site and improve your online experience. We may also use third parties cookies for third party advertising, social plugins or analyzing traffic on our site.

In general, cookies ease and accelerate the interaction between you and the site or (mobile) application that you visit. For example, they help you navigate between the different parts of a site. If we can identify you with a cookie, you do not always have to enter the same data, for example, your login information. In addition, we use cookies to make the content of our site and (mobile) applications more interesting for you. We do this by adapting that content to your personal preference and needs. We also use cookies to identify your online behavior. How did you end up on our site? How long did you use it? With statistical results, we can improve our site where necessary and respond to our users’ preferences and needs. Finally, we can use this data to fulfill specific reporting obligations.

By continuing to browse the Site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, which may include data exchange and/or disclosure with third parties.

This site uses two types of cookies:

  1. First party cookies. For our site, the first party cookies are controlled and maintained by Rogers Corporation. No other parties have access to these cookies.
  2. Third party cookies. These cookies are implemented by organizations outside Rogers Corporation. We do not have access to the data in these cookies, but we use these cookies to improve the overall site experience.

Specifically, we use the following cookies on our site:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are needed for the operation of our site. These cookies enable site access, support navigation or provide relevant content. These cookies direct you to the correct country, and support security and ecommerce. Strictly necessary cookies also enforce your privacy preferences. Without these strictly necessary cookies, most of our site would not function.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. These are cookies that allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors to our site and to see how visitors move around our site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies. These are cookies used to recognize you when you return to our site. This enables us to personalize our content for you and remember your preferences.
  • Targeting and advertising cookies. These cookies record your visits to our site, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our site and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

Cookies help us help you. Through the use of cookies, we learn what is important to our visitors and we develop and enhance site content and functionality to support your experience. Much of our site can be accessed if cookies are disabled, however certain site functions may not work. And, we believe your current and future visits will be enhanced if cookies are enabled.

Third Party Service Providers. The site works with third-party products and/or services (“Service Providers”) to offer and present our site to you. These Service Providers may include, but are not limited to, Google, LinkedIn, Facebook/Meta and other Service Providers who help us track and analyze our site user activity, measure the effectiveness of our advertising efforts, and support the optimization of our digital marketing campaigns and carry out targeted advertising campaigns.

Our Service Providers may get more information about your activity on our site, including pages you visit, access times, visit duration, how you arrived at our site and your IP address. An IP address is a number that identifies a device connected to the internet. For most devices, the IP address changes on at least a weekly basis. Our Service Providers may also get device identifiers and specific information about the browser you use. In some cases, this information may be unique to you. We may share and/or sell your information collected from you on the site with third party vendors, advertising companies, or analytics providers including, but not limited to, Google, LinkedIn, and/or Facebook/Meta. The Site also participates in targeted advertising wherein it contracts with Service Providers to collect certain information when you visit the site to provide measurement services to the Site and target ads to site users, such as Google Ads. These companies use information collected from the site (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over, hardware or software information, cookie and session ID) and personal information (e.g., IP address) during your visits to this site and other websites in order to tailor advertisements about goods and services to you. These Service Providers typically use a cookie, third party web beacon, or other similar tracking technologies to collect this information. The site also works with third parties that collect information across various channels including, but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, and other connected devices, over time, for advertising, analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. Your data may be transferred outside the country from which it was originally collected. Our site provides you with the option to opt out of targeted advertising via its cookie preferences. Learn more about this type of advertising or to opt-out of this type of advertising.

For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational website.

Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.

Pixels. Our site may use pixels which are HTML code snippets that are loaded when a user visits a website or opens an email. It is useful for tracking user behavior and activity. With a tracking pixel, advertisers can get data for online marketing, web analysis or email marketing. If such data is analyzed in a particular way, the data collected through these pixels can be used for other purposes as well, for example retargeting/behavioral advertising.

If you’d like to disable these tracking pixels, there are a number of ways in which you can prevent your data from being collected by tracking pixels:

  • Set browser and email settings to be as restrictive as possible such that external graphics are only supported after permission, and HTML emails are not supported. Appropriate firewall settings can also do this.
  • Some browser extensions can be used to make tracking pixels visible (e.g., PixelBlock, uBlock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere, etc.).

How do you change your cookie settings?
