Exceptional RF performance and stability

With a design dielectric constant at 77GHz of 3.07, RO1003 laminates are a lower-loss (1.0 dB/inch at 77GHz), PTFE-free drop-in alternative for RO3003G2™ laminates. Expect rock-solid RF performance across the automotive temperature gradient, given this material’s +1 ppm/°C TcDk, and stable dissipation factor even after exposure to 140°C for 3000 hours.

PCB fabrication and assembled reliability

RO1003™ laminates are fabricated using standard epoxy/glass (FR-4) processes. Laser via drilling and CAF resistance benefit from RO1003™ laminates’ woven-glass free construction. Compared to other thermosets, RO1003™ laminates have much lower tensile modulus, like RO3000® PTFE-based laminates, which enables excellent assembled board level reliability. These materials are lead free process capable and (currently under test) UL-V0 flame retardant.

Features and Benefits PTFE-free, high-performance new thermoset laminate •DK matched to RO3003G2 •Excellent insertion loss Lifetime and consistent radar performance in all conditions •Stable dielectric constant •Maximize signal strength to optimize range and resolution Board level reliability •Low tensile modulus •Low CTE Woven glass free •Excellent laser drilling performance •Exceptional CAF resistance
